Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – 13-week perioperative / surgical nurse assignment in San Mateo, California (zip code 94401). Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,550 - $2,690
• Location: San Mateo, CA 94401 (San Mateo County, Bay Area)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, primarily 9:00 AM – 5:15 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• On-call/Weekends: No on-call or weekend coverage required

Required Qualifications & Certifications (OR RN, Perioperative Nurse)

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years recent ambulatory/outpatient OR experience — cataracts, sports medicine, arthroplasty preferred
• Experience with da Vinci robotic systems and moderate sedation
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Ability to provide a 7-year work history verification
• Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing; copy of certifications required at submission

Key Responsibilities (Surgical Nurse / OR Duties)

• Provide relief coverage for staff breaks and support prolonged or complex cases in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center
• Assist across a variety of surgical specialties: orthopedics, ophthalmology (cataracts), general surgery, plastics, EENT, and vascular cases
• Set up operating rooms, ensure instrumentation and supplies are ready, and facilitate quick case transitions to maintain OR efficiency
• Support da Vinci robotic procedures and moderate sedation workflows when applicable
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary perioperative teams (surgeons, anesthesia, surgical techs) to deliver high-quality patient care and positive surgical outcomes
