• Location: Lubbock, Texas (Lubbock, TX 79410)
• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse / OR RN / Perioperative Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,160
• Shift: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00) — Friday, Saturday, Sunday (block schedule)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center (trauma/acute care surgical unit)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Orientation: 12 hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience (2 years preferred); travel nursing experience required
• Experience in Level II Trauma Center required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Active RN license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CNOR preferred
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
• Clinical experience with Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotic (XI/DV5), and Trauma cases required
• Ability to work scheduled weekend block shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care in the Operating Room as an OR RN / Surgical Nurse
• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures: Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Bariatric, Urology, Cardio-Thoracic, Robotic, Trauma, Kidney Transplant, and Organ Procurement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic charting
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure positive surgical outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies and perioperative standards, including dress code (solid navy blue scrubs for RNs)
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and required training modules
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and critical thinking in a high-acuity environment
