Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $670–$710
• Location: On-site in Flemington, New Jersey (08822) — New Jersey nursing jobs, Flemington healthcare
• Position Type: Per Diem / PRN — Behavioral Health RN, Psychiatric Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Minimum Commitment: At least 4 shifts per month
• Duration: 52 weeks

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Acute care psychiatric experience preferred
• Strong assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills (EMR experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Perform psychosocial and nursing assessments and monitor patient progress for acute psychiatric needs
• Administer medications safely and document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, therapists) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow behavioral health safety protocols
• Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and CPI interventions as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff to support recovery-oriented care
