• Contract Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 36 hours/week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-Site Position

Required Qualifications / Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida or compact state) — CVICU RN / Cardiac ICU nurse candidate
• Minimum 18 months recent open-heart ICU experience with ventilator management (2 years preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required at time of submission)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Hands-on experience with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, invasive hemodynamics, and post–open heart recovery
• EPIC charting experience preferred (electronic medical records experience helpful for ICU RN jobs)
• Nicotine-free (negative cotinine test required)
• Ability to float within scope to up to three local hospitals (within ~20 miles)
• Must complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to start; first-time travel nurses welcome

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to CVICU patients, including post-open heart surgery and complex cardiac cases
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced cardiac devices (Swan-Ganz, IABP, Impella)
• Interpret dysrhythmias, titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips, and closely monitor hemodynamics
• Perform arterial and central line care, ABG interpretation, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary cardiac teams (cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, perfusion, respiratory therapy) to optimize outcomes
• Float to other units as needed to support facility operations while staying within nursing scope
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including smoke-free and time-sensitive onboarding requirements
