Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Nursery RN Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to assigned newborns using the nursing process
• Complete nursing assessments, care plans, and accurate clinical documentation
• Report pertinent findings and changes in patient condition to the physician
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions safely and efficiently
• Recognize and respond appropriately to anxious, hostile, or escalated behavior when needed
• Identify family learning needs and provide clear, supportive education to parents and caregivers
• Use delegation appropriately and follow annual training guidelines and the nurse practice act
