• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Setting: Medical-Surgical unit / acute care

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Weekend coverage required; float assignments within scope as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact license eligible for assignment start
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical / Med-Surg nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with a 6:1 patient ratio preferred
• Comfort with Epic charting and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg care, including telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, and post-op support
• Ability to work weekends and float within scope

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support timely interventions
• Administer medications, manage IVs and lines, and support ongoing treatment plans
• Care for patients with common Med/Surg needs such as wounds, drains, oxygen therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Partner with physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical team members to promote quality outcomes and a smooth patient experience
• Float to like units within scope when needed based on facility needs
