Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract

• Assignment End Date: January 25, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; approximately six weekend shifts during the contract
• Patient Population: Adults
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5–6
• Unit: 26-bed orthopedic spine and telemetry-capable unit
• Charting: Epic
• Floating: May be required to qualified units or locations based on staffing needs

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or orthopedic nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent Epic electronic health record experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Dysrhythmia certification or demonstrated telemetry nursing competency
• Ability to care for patients with medical-surgical, cardiac, neurological, and post-operative conditions
• Willingness to float to areas where documented competencies support safe patient care

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult orthopedic spine and medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Care for patients recovering from laminectomies, spinal fusions, discectomies, and other spinal procedures
• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions, low-risk acute coronary syndrome, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
• Perform focused nursing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Provide post-operative, post-catheterization, post-renal biopsy, and pain-management care
• Monitor telemetry, pulse oximetry, vital signs, glucose levels, and heparin infusions according to established protocols
• Support or perform appropriate bedside procedures, including care related to lumbar punctures and CT angiography
• Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Promote mobility, safety, patient education, and discharge readiness throughout the patient stay
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold professional standards of patient care
