Travel Nursing Job Details

• Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Job Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820–$1,910
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Shifts per Week: Scheduling options include three or four 12-hour night shifts per week
• Hours: Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly, with a 72-hour biweekly guarantee
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Float Requirement: PCU as needed, including overflow and ED hold assignments

ICU Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; license must be in hand before the start date
• At least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• TNCC certification preferred
• NIHSS documentation and Nursys verification required with submission, as applicable
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred
• Ability to complete required laboratory and onboarding items within 72 hours of accepting an offer, or provide a completion plan

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU during overnight shifts
• Assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to the PCU, overflow areas, and ED hold assignments as needed
• Safely manage assignments of up to four patients when working in designated overflow or ED hold areas
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Promote patient safety, continuity of care, and effective communication throughout each shift
