Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Camden, NJ

Join a collaborative emergency care team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in Camden, New Jersey. This on-site nursing contract is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department RN who is confident caring for high-acuity patients in a Level I trauma environment. Camden offers convenient access to Philadelphia, a vibrant waterfront, and a variety of cultural, dining, and recreational attractions.

Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Camden, New Jersey
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room/Emergency Department; Level I trauma experience required
• Schedule: Day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; every other weekend
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13-week Registered Nurse contract
• Start Date: November 3, 2026
• Orientation: Three-day orientation, Tuesday through Thursday
• Time-Off Policy: Holiday time-off requests are not available for this assignment

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN or Emergency Department RN experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma setting
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license at the time of submission
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification required at the time of submission

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide timely, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of emergent and complex conditions.
• Perform focused assessments, prioritize care, and respond effectively to rapidly changing patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate diagnostic testing, treatment, and disposition.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response.
• Support trauma care and emergency interventions in a high-acuity Level I trauma environment.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Promote patient safety, education, and compassionate communication throughout the emergency visit.
