Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Oklahoma
• At least 6 months of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12-hour overnight shifts
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing, ancillary, and interdisciplinary care team members

Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing diagnoses and care plans
• Implement, evaluate, and update total nursing care plans based on patient needs and clinical changes
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and orders
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient responses accurately
• Promote patient safety, comfort, education, and continuity of care
• Provide leadership and contribute to professional nursing standards within the clinical setting
• Work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
