Emergency Department Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license required at the time of submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
• ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
• Certified Emergency Nurse certification preferred
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and weekends

Emergency Department Nursing Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with urgent, emergent, and non-critical conditions
• Support the care of patients experiencing emergent or urgent mental health needs
• Deliver age-appropriate emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Provide skilled care for critical cardiac and trauma patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with clinical standards
