Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• 4x10 hour day shifts
• Call required 9 days per month
• Weekend coverage includes one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday per month
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Cath Lab/Scrub experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 40 orientation hours required
• Local candidates not accepted - 50 mile travel radius enforced
• Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT CI, ARRT R, BLS
• Required skills include: accurate monitoring, cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic cardiac cath lab, diagnostic catheterizations for adults, electrophysiology (EP) lab, fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interventional cardiac cath lab, isolation precautions/PPE, left heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, PACS, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), EKG lead placement, permanent pacemaker insertion (PPI), prep access site, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, right heart catheterization, room circulator, scrub procedures, sterile technique, temporary pacemaker, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vascular closure systems

The unit supports a comprehensive cardiovascular program serving adult and geriatric patients, with staffing structured to maintain a 1:1 patient ratio.
