Opportunity:

Stepdown/ Med Surg Overflow/ CV Exp/ Registered Nurse

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with 36 or 48 hour schedules (schedule may change during interview)
• Patient ratios of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends using team nursing approach
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Float between like units and campuses within 20-mile radius
• Must have 2+ years of recent nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry, IV Start
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must hold active RN license in state or compact RN license complying with NLC guidelines
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must be willing to work holidays if assignment includes end-of-year holidays
• All requested time off must be included at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center providing short-term acute care services. The cardiac stepdown unit is a multidisciplinary care unit with 48 private beds designed and equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring. The unit provides close observation for cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes, serving patients requiring less than standard intensive care but more than regular medical/surgical telemetry. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
