Opportunity:

Med Surg ICU RN

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue contract
• Interview with unit leaders required
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, PCU 1:4-5, and MS 1:5-6
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old with diagnoses including neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, and GI bleeds
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, A-lines, Swan catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, and ventilators
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license verification required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Use EPIC charting system
