Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Daily caseload of 14 patients per technologist
• Daily census of 55 patients with 55 visits per day
• Block scheduling available
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units or sister facilities
• 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT R, ARRT T, BLS, CMD, MD State License (pending accepted)
• Special procedures include SBRT, SRS, and HDR
• Special equipment includes Varian TrueBeam x2 machines, Gamma Med HDR, and RT Align
• Required skills include IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), External Beam Therapy, Radiation Safety, and Tumor Localization
• Treat adult patients with a range of cancer diagnoses
• Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Dosimetry on-site with real-time support
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, and more

Facility:

This is a 327-bed teaching facility offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The facility utilizes Epic for electronic charting and provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams. The radiation oncology department is equipped with advanced technology and supported by on-site specialists to ensure high-quality patient care.
