OT - Occupational Therapy

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; unit accepts first-time travelers
• Available schedules: 5x8s Monday/Wednesday 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or preferred 4x10 schedule 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float within facility/scope of practice to outpatient facility as needed
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT, GA State License
• Charting system experience required; Epic experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred; LTAC experience preferred
• Required skills include: Orthopedics, dynamic splints, functional splints, static splints, amputee care, upper/lower extremity, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders
• Additional skills include: Acute care, adaptive equipment assessment, adult rehabilitation, assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, hip fracture and total hip/knee replacement, lifting and transfer, patient/family education, plan of care, reassessments, safety and injury prevention, and soft tissue injuries
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Local candidates accepted
