Opportunity:

PERIOPERATIVE RN

Job Details:

• Work weekday schedule with rotating on-call responsibilities including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Take on average 7-9 days of call per month with 20-minute response time to hospital
• Monday-Friday 5x8 shifts
• Provide care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures
• Work in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating for all General, Ortho, and O.B. cases including C-sections
• Assist with trauma cases in the Emergency Room
• Function as the only O.R. nurse in house during emergency call cases in the middle of the night
• Blue scrubs preferred
• Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current BLS certification required; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
• Must have excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU preferred
• Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus
• Must demonstrate emotional and physical stamina and ability to respond effectively in stressful situations
• Work week defined as Sunday morning 12:01 AM through Saturday night 11:59 PM
• Level 4 Trauma designation
