Opportunity:

RN - ED/MedSurg Swing

Job Details:

• 12-hour day and night shifts available, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Flex time for call or standby requirement
• Patient ratios: 1 to 4 acute, 1 to 6 swing bed, 1 to 4 in the ED
• 22-bed unit serving ED and MedSurg swing bed patients
• One year of MedSurg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• RNs required to titrate drips
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Tele on unit with RN reading strips (ED nurse)
• RT equipment includes NEBS, O2 nasal and mask, ventilator (used in ED and transport only), and CPAP when applicable
• May float to ED holds if needed and may also work charge nurse role
• Any scrub color accepted
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a combined ED and MedSurg swing bed unit providing comprehensive inpatient and emergency services to the community. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and is equipped to handle a wide range of diagnoses and patient populations. The unit is supported by charge nurses and maintains modern respiratory therapy equipment to support diverse patient care needs.
