Opportunity:
RN - Moderate Care Unit (4B Heart/Vascular)
Job Details:
• 13-week assignment with available start dates every Monday
• Scrubs: Navy Blue required
• No local travelers - must reside beyond 50-mile radius
• Georgia or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of specialty experience within the past 3 years required
• CCRN preferred
• Must be proficient with PA lines; rare ventilator experience required
• No IABP or Impella experience required
• Will accommodate LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters
• Work in a 12-bed, 24-hour observation unit serving the heart/vascular service line
• Care for low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in heart/vascular ICUs or stepdown units
• Monitor post-procedure patients requiring extended observation prior to discharge
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover and wide variety of cardiovascular diagnoses
• Presurgical patient population included
• Required to complete a proctored rhythm identification test upon start (two attempts allowed, not multiple choice)

The unit provides a dynamic learning environment for cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses, offering opportunities to develop critical care skills, critical thinking, and advanced patient assessment abilities.
