Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a busy 6-bed Medical ICU within a 100-bed hospital
• Care for adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac needs as well as pediatric patients with medical needs
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 weekend shifts per contract required
• Float as needed throughout the facility
• 2 years of ICU experience required; travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic experience within the last 12 months required and must be clearly documented on profile
• Proficiency with a broad range of ICU skills including: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring, CVA/acute stroke management, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

This 100-bed community hospital features a 6-bed Medical ICU providing specialized intensive care services for a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and interpretation services, ensuring a well-rounded care environment for both patients and clinical staff.
