Opportunity:

OR RN - PEN

Job Details:

• Night shift position with shift times of 2100-0700, with additional shift options of 0630-1900 or 0900-2130
• Work in a 16-suite operating room performing approximately 30 cases per day
• Common cases include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics procedures
• Must have Trauma and Neuro experience
• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• Charge nurse experience preferred; charge nurse and house supervisor will be present on shift
• 2 OR techs on shift
• Call requirement of approximately 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff for weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Floating may be required within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) in cases of extreme need
• Scrubs provided on site
• Charting system: Epic
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Acute care setting, Trauma Level 2
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Must be within 60 miles of facility; driver's license must be submitted
• Must be available in state for week of orientation

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large, well-equipped operating room department with 16 suites and a high-volume caseload of approximately 30 cases per day. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a wide range of surgical specialties including General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedics, and Robotics procedures. The department maintains dedicated charge nurses and house supervisors on every shift and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system.
