Opportunity:
Cath Lab Days
Job Details:
• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts in the Cath Lab PACU
• Must be familiar with cath lab recovery including groin site management
• Recovery ranges from general anesthesia to moderate sedation
• Critical care experience required
• No call responsibilities
• No weekend shifts
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Charting system experience required; Epic system used
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be proficient with a wide range of cath lab skills including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), sheath removal and monitoring, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, and external compression devices
• Experience with vascular closure systems, topical hemostasis, and arrhythmia management preferred
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 25-30 cases per day in an 8-room unit
• Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs
Facility:
This facility operates a high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory handling 25 to 30 cases per day across 8 procedure rooms. The unit supports a broad range of cardiac and vascular procedures including interventional and diagnostic catheterizations, electrophysiology, and advanced structural heart procedures. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and provides a comprehensive clinical environment with interdisciplinary support for complex cardiovascular care.
