Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg or similar acute care nursing position

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• May be required to float to other units
• Current Wisconsin (WI) nursing license required
• Required certifications: CPR/BLS and NIHSS
• Education verification required
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command
