Opportunity:
Ultrasound Tech
Job Details:
• 3x12 weekend night shift schedule
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No on-call required
• All requested time off must be included at time of submittal; one pre-approved time off allowed
• Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Required certifications: ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB/GYN (one required, NOT both), BLS
• Charting system: Epic experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:1; approximately 8 visits per day
• Primary responsibility is to cover STAT and ASAP orders throughout the hospital, including ER and OB triage orders
• Some exams are portable; most patients can be transported to the ultrasound department
• Routine exams are not expected but completing them at the beginning or end of the shift is appreciated when time allows
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Key diagnostic areas include abdominal, renal, pelvic, venous upper and lower extremity, and OB exams
• Special equipment used: GE and Siemens ultrasound systems
• No procedures during shift
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred
Facility:
This short-term acute care facility operates 325 staffed beds and provides a full range of hospital services across multiple departments. The facility supports a broad interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The organization utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a well-equipped ultrasound department serving a diverse patient population.
