Opportunity:
Radiation Therapist
Job Details:
• Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No on-call required
• No weekends required
• No block schedules required
• Patient ratio of 20 patients per Radiation Therapist
• Daily census of 40-45 patients
• Treat both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Rotate amongst all treatment modalities and equipment, including simulation with contrast orders and motion management orders
• Work with robust program offering brachytherapy, EBRT, SBRT, SRS, and FSRT on Gamma Knife treatment modalities
• Utilize Elekta Mosaiq Record and Verify System with Epic electronic medical record
• Equipment includes Elekta Linear Accelerators (Infinity and VersaHD), Gamma Knife ICON, HDR Flexitron, C-arm fluoroscopy, and GE Discovery CT/Simulator
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, TMB License
• Texas state license required
• Required skills include: Adult Outpatient, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Electron Beam Therapy, Elekta Infinity, Elekta Versa HD, External Beam Therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, HexaPOD, IMRT, Pediatric Outpatient, Radiation Safety, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
• Scrub color: Galaxy Blue/Royal Blue
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space

This is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds. The facility operates a robust radiation oncology program with multiple treatment modalities and maintains several accreditations that drive its program of quality and safety. The department features advanced equipment and a great team environment with excellent providers working collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care.
