Opportunity:
ARRT T - Radiation Therapy
Job Details:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT T
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Black
• Free parking provided on first day; assignment parking given during orientation
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
• Schedule type is variable; block scheduling available at manager's discretion
• Locals accepted within 50-mile radius rule
• Float between like units required
• Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• RTO must be included at time of submission; pre-approved time off: one request
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Approximately 35 patient visits per day
• Patient diagnoses include breast, prostate, lung, head and neck cancers, and variable cancers
• Required skills and procedures include SRS, SBRT, IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, external beam therapy, radiation safety, respiratory gating, stereotactic radiosurgery, simulation of treatment sites, and custom molds/shields
• Special equipment: C-RAD; training on Elekta provided if needed
• Valid California license in hand required
• 2 references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Copy of certifications required
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates with 150 staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of medical services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries. The radiation therapy department sees approximately 35 patients per day and is equipped with advanced technology to support a wide variety of oncology treatments.
