Job Details:

• Telemetry RN position with float required between units to meet unit needs
• No on-call required
• Every other weekend required
• Block schedules are not required
• Expected patient ratio of 1:4
• 36 orientation hours
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit capacity of 48 daily census with 64 beds across 48 rooms
• Neurology unit experience required - must be comfortable with NIH stroke scale, various neurology diagnoses, and neurosurgery patients
• Epic charting system experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Patient diagnoses include Neuroscience, Neurology, Neurosurgical, and Telemetry
• Designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
• Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation
• NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, craniotomy, CVA, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Valid WA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
• All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal - post submission RTO will not be approved
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during the compliance process prior to start
• Scrub color: Any color for RNs

Facility:

This is a Short Term Acute Care facility and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. The facility is a teaching hospital with 629 total staffed beds and utilizes Epic for charting. The unit specializes in neuroscience care, operating as a designated stroke unit, a Spine Center of Excellence, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center, all carrying JCAHO designations. Parking is provided at no cost.
