Opportunity:

Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float required within skillset, which may include floating to the main New Brunswick campus connected by a pedestrian bridge
• Every other weekend required based on unit needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC); ACLS preferred
• Key skills include: administration of chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, monitoring chemotherapy, accessing and managing ports, anaphylaxis management, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, recognizing and managing side effects, and sepsis
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and more
• All requested time off must be submitted with the application and approved prior to offer
• Block scheduling is not approved
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
