Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays scheduled as per contract
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirements
• Orientation provided before first shift
• Patient ratio is typically 4:1
• Work in a Level III Trauma Center with 21 ED beds and 1 trauma bay
• Fast track area with 4 beds available
• Triage responsibilities included with 2 triage rooms available
• Manage ER holds intermixed within the ED
• 4 dedicated psychiatric/seclusion rooms plus 2 convertible crisis rooms
• In-house security available 24/7
• 24/7 ED physician coverage with PA support 8-16 hours per day
• 24/7 ED charge RN and house supervisor on duty
• ED techs available 24/7
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• RNs and techs perform EKGs and most blood draws
• Respiratory therapy handles ABGs and breathing treatments
• Imaging staff transport patients for X-ray and CT
• Telemetry available with monitor techs; RNs read strips
• Scrub color: Any color other than purple
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC (PALS or ENPC recommended but not required)
• BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level III Trauma Center with a full-service emergency department featuring 21 ED beds, 1 trauma bay, and a 4-bed fast track area. The emergency department sees approximately 125 patients per day and is supported by a comprehensive team including 24/7 physician coverage, charge nurses, house supervisors, and ED technicians. The facility offers a well-rounded care environment with dedicated psychiatric rooms, in-house security, and full imaging and respiratory therapy support services.
