Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Located on the 2nd floor of the facility
• Patient ratio of 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity patients including post-CABG patients (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
• Work alongside a team of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• 26-bed Surgical ICU unit
• Utilize equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia equipment, and ECMO
• EMR system: Meditech
• Care for trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, central line management, and medication drips
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH stroke scale
• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities preferred
• Ideal candidate is driven, organized, efficient, and maintains a positive attitude

This medical center is a large acute care hospital and trauma facility offering a wide range of specialized services. The Surgical ICU is a 26-bed unit staffed by experienced nursing professionals providing high-acuity care to surgical and trauma patients. The facility utilizes advanced medical equipment and technology, including ECMO and CRRT, to deliver comprehensive critical care services.
