Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Care for patient population including CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other departments within the organization up to competency level
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
• Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Facility:
This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with 800 inpatient beds and Stroke accreditation. The volume and pace required to work here are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to a children's hospital, a robotic surgery institute, comprehensive brain and nerve care, and heart and cancer services, with state-of-the-art technologies including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI.
