Opportunity:

Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shift end times varying based on procedure completion
• On-call requirements include one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month, plus one call shift and one evening shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Daily caseload consists of approximately 20 cases per day across 4 to 5 labs, with 2 cardiovascular technologists per lab
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor roles
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
• Special equipment includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab for documentation, and Vidistar for image storage
• Charting system is EPIC (preferred experience)
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• Community hospital experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and South Carolina SCRQSA license
• Required skills include: accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, IVC filter placement, and PACS

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 304 staffed beds and operates a robust Cath Lab department running 4 to 5 labs per day. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting and supports a wide range of advanced cardiovascular procedures. Complimentary parking is available through designated lots and garages near the facility.
