Job Details:

• Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• 15-bed/room unit serving neonatal and adult patient populations
• Scrubs provided by facility
• First time travelers welcome
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Charting system experience required
• Key clinical skills required include: antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC), sterile vaginal exams, obstetrical patient triage, and use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with a census of 100-200 births per month, providing comprehensive obstetrical and neonatal care. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for both patients and clinical staff.
