Opportunity:
RN - OR
Job Details:
• Day or evening shifts available, open to 36 or 40 hours per week
• Travelers work 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff
• May also be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation
• Weekend rotation and call required at manager's discretion
• Weeknight call requirements: 3-4 per 4-week time period
• Weekend call requirements: 1 shift per 4-week time period
• Call response time: 45 minutes
• All travelers required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Experience scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases required
• Must be experienced with trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, and ex lap cases
• Scrubbing not required for RNs but considered a bonus
• Charge nurse present on all shifts
• Self-scheduling available within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
• No floating requirements
• Hospital-issued scrubs required
• EMR system: EPIC
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a large operating room department with 23 suites averaging 75 cases per day. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering a wide range of surgical services including neuro, orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, and eye cases. The department utilizes EPIC for charting and maintains a structured call system with dedicated call centers to support comprehensive perioperative care.
