Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Various days of the week scheduling with weekend coverage required per unit needs
• On-call required per unit needs
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling type
• 14 total staffed beds across 12 rooms with a daily census of 5-10 patients
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• First-time travelers accepted provided experience requirements are met
• Charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Intermediate is a hard requirement - AWHONN Advanced alone will not be accepted)
• Compact state license accepted
• Navy scrubs required
• Fast-paced unit with approximately 150 births per month
• Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit
• Must be able to circulate in the OR and place internal monitors
• OB triage experience required
• Must be able to manage laboring and high-risk OB patients
• Patient population includes adolescents and adults
• Handles patient diagnoses including low-risk perinatal, high-risk preeclampsia, intrahepatic cholestasis, intrauterine growth restriction, drug use in pregnancy, no prenatal care, oligohydramnios/polyhydramnios, postdates, preterm contractions, PPROM, dehydration
• Special procedures include delivery down to 31 weeks/1500g, MgSO4 for hypertension and PPROM, insulin drips, cytotec/pitocin induction, fetal demise delivery, and TOLAC
• Special equipment includes IUPC, FSE, fetal monitoring, and Jada
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, 2026; September 2–September 12, 2026; October 25–November 4, 2026

This facility is a well-established health system offering comprehensive women's and infants services, including a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit managing both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients. The unit features 14 staffed beds, an on-floor OR and PACU, and an 18-bed postpartum and OBGYN unit. The facility supports a high-volume delivery environment and provides robust interdisciplinary support to ensure quality patient care.
