Opportunity:
Med Surg Float Team RN
Job Details:
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts with flexibility required
• Every weekend and holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract
• Guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum of 36, up to 48 with overtime after 48 hours)
• Float team position rotating within skillset to observation unit, cardiac unit, medical unit, surgical unit, ortho/neuro unit, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care unit
• Facility will attempt to keep traveler in 1-2 like units but floating to other units is possible
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Day shift ratio 1:4, PM shift ratio 1:4 or 1:5, and night shift ratio 1:6 occasionally 1:7
• Minimum 1-2+ years of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with venipuncture and Cardizem required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred within the past 2 years
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Active RN or Compact License, NIHSS
• NIHSS certification preferred at submission and must be completed prior to end of orientation
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: No bright colors or character prints
• Strong time management, resilience, ability to manage change, and social skills preferred
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
