Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Active Kentucky nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• STABLE certification preferred
• Delivery team experience preferred
• Work in a 4-8 bed NICU unit located on the second floor
• Patient ratios typically 3:1 or less depending on acuity and census
• Minimum of 2 NICU nurses staffed at all times on both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, and medication administration
• Maintain UVC/UAC lines and conduct patient assessments
• Assist provider with intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, and circumcision
• Equipment used includes Alaris pump, Medfusion pump, Dash 5000, phototherapy lights, iStat machine, glucometer, giraffe beds, panda warmer, Ohio warmer, bili meter, and traditional ventilator
• EMR systems used: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech Expanse
• Scrubs provided by facility

This facility features a dedicated Center for Women's Health with a specialized NICU unit providing comprehensive care for newborns requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. The unit is equipped with advanced medical equipment to support a wide range of neonatal procedures and conditions, maintaining consistent staffing levels to ensure the highest quality of patient care around the clock.
