Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Weekday and weekend call rotation required
• Holiday call rotation as needed
• 30-minute call response time required; must remain on-site if more than 30 miles away while on call
• One weeknight on-call rotation from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• One weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Float to outpatient surgery as needed
• Facility operates 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room handling 35–45 cases per day
• Cases include general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics (DaVinci and Rosa), neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and pediatric dental and ENT procedures
• Must have experience passing arms in and out for robotic surgery
• Ortho experience required; must be comfortable with all specialties for evening and night shifts
• Night shift RN will be the only RN on-site with 2 techs and must be comfortable working independently
• Travelers rotate through charge nurse responsibilities
• Scrubbing is a plus but not required for RNs
• OR techs responsible for turning over rooms
• No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
• 3-shift, 1-week unit orientation provided
• Scrubs provided for RNs and OR Techs
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred
• 2–3 years of OR experience required along with 2–3 previous travel assignments
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BSN not required
• Valid nursing license required

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department that is open 24/7, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, trauma, robotics, and pediatric procedures. The OR team consists primarily of travel staff and utilizes EPIC as the electronic medical records system. The facility maintains a high-volume surgical environment with a strong emphasis on collaborative teamwork and cross-functional support across surgical service lines.
