Opportunity:

RN - Medical-Surgical

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as per physician orders
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health management
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EMR)
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
• Assist with post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute care interventions
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to nursing assistants, ESTs, and Unit Clerks
• Orient and mentor new staff members
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations as needed
• Up to 36 hours of call off per 13-week assignment
• No local candidates - 120-mile radius rule applies
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior Medical-Surgical experience preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Idaho or approved compact state licensure required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon date of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of date of hire
