Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Negotiable holiday requirement
• 5-bed ICU unit with 1:2-3 patient ratios; unstable vent patients are 1:1
• Must be comfortable with all age populations including occasional stable pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, DKA, COPD exacerbation, RSV, and influenza
• Required to titrate drips including heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, sedation, and analgesia
• Ventilator management and drip titration experience required
• CCU RNs read telemetry strips for med-surg patients
• Respiratory therapy equipment includes ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Charge RN takes a patient assignment; house supervisor available 24/7
• Day shift includes one CNA for the department
• If placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call
• RNs not fully cross-trained to other departments are expected to assist as "helping hands" if floating
• Scrub color requirement: Navy blue
• Unit orientation is 3-6 shifts, longer if needed
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Oregon license required; 90-day Oregon Emergency License available if no Oregon license in hand

The facility offers 24/7 hospitalist coverage and around-the-clock respiratory therapy services that support the entire hospital.
