Job Details:

• Evening shift position from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• On-call required: Weeknight standby shifts of 24 hours every 4 weeks (blocks of 4-hour or 8-hour shifts) and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks (12-hour standby shifts x 2)
• Weekend shifts required in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Daily census of 60 patients with 21 operating rooms
• Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties, with a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases
• Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
• Open Heart and Organ Transplant procedures are not performed at this facility
• Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any color
• No parking fee
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year in a relevant setting
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must not have worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, travel contractor, or registry/per-diem without disclosing location and dates

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates with 418 staffed beds and 21 operating rooms, supporting a high daily census of approximately 60 patients. The facility provides a comprehensive range of adult surgical specialties with a particular focus on advanced oncology surgical cases, utilizing state-of-the-art technology including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems. The facility uses Epic for charting and offers a well-equipped environment to support a wide range of complex surgical procedures.
