Opportunity:
RRT NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week
• Clock in on the 8th Floor no later than 6:38 AM and report promptly at 6:45 AM for huddle
• No self-scheduling or special scheduling accommodations permitted - all schedules are assigned based on unit staffing needs
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float between two campuses located one block apart (campuses share a parking lot with shuttle service available for travelers)
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling not available
• Minimum 2 years of experience required within specialty
• Trauma experience required
• Extracorporeal experience preferred
• Experience with Hamilton C6 ventilator preferred
• Experience with Transplant, Puritan Bennett, and Vyaire Avea preferred
• Treat patient age groups including neonates, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: RRT, ACLS, BLS
• Additional certifications preferred: NRP, PALS
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: Epic
• 72-hour orientation
• Key skills include: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, NICU, ECMO, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nitric Oxide, Bronchoscopy, Mechanical Ventilation Weaning, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Tracheostomy Care/Management, High Frequency Oscillator, Pulmonary Hygiene, and Troubleshooting High Pressure Alarms
Facility:
This is a short-term acute care Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds. The facility operates across two campuses located just one block apart, offering a wide range of critical care services including NICU, pediatric critical care, and adult critical care. The organization utilizes Epic as its charting system and supports an interdisciplinary approach to patient care across all age groups.
