Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical intensive care unit
• Variable patient ratios based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3-4
• Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
• Must have telemetry experience; PCU or greater preferred
• Prior ICU experience and experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
• Perform procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
• Operate equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Use Sunrise EMR system
• Float to Progressive Care unit as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have license in hand prior to submission
• Ideal candidate is organized but easily adaptable
