Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts available on days (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) or nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Cannot request time off for Thanksgiving
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• 15-bed unit with all private rooms
• Care for general medical/surgical patients who are ready to be discharged from the ER but have not yet been assigned to a specific unit
• Perform initial admissions and provide care until patients are transferred to their assigned unit
• Float to other medical/surgical units as needed
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Utilize Epic for charting, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required; high-bed Level 2 experience may be considered
• Epic experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
