Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• 30-bed unit serving med surg post-op and spine patient populations
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
• Administer heparin drips
• Wear navy blue solid scrubs
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless unit is closed
• 24 months of med surg/medical surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Strong heparin experience required
• Minimum 3 months of current travel experience within the previous 12 months required (no first-time travelers)
• Post-operative/surgical experience required
• Spine care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
