Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week (3x12 schedule)
• Block scheduling is potentially available but not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays)
• Schedule also includes 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays per 6-week period
• Only one holiday may be requested as time off
• Travel partners are not permitted
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Experience with pre cardiac cath and managing ports required
• Patient ratio experience of 5 to 6 patients
• Float between Edgewood and Florence campuses as needed, as well as to Observation Units, Med Surg, and Med Surg Telemetry units
• Support ED boarders across the system — patients waiting for a bed in the ED requiring inpatient care; if boarders are insufficient, float to observation units
• Serve in admissions/observation unit and the ED caring for boarding patients
• Care for adult patient populations
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active Kentucky or compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrubs must be Navy Blue with no agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Natural fingernails required for those in direct patient care, nails must be less than 1/4" in length, polish is acceptable
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• No cafeteria available; refrigerator and microwave provided on-site
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
