Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Nurse to patient ratio of 6:1 at 11 PM, team nursing with LPNs at 2:7 ratios
• Care for 24 inpatient beds with capacity for 10 observation/day surgery patients
• Required certification: BLS (AHA), ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year medical surgical/medical telemetry experience in acute care required
• Must be comfortable with IV starts as no IV team is available onsite
• Basic telemetry arrhythmia knowledge required for monitor reading
• Must be able to float to like units and similar patient populations
• Weekend rotation every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Holiday requirement: 2 out of 3 holidays
• Potential on-call/standby assignments
• Dress code: solid professional scrubs, no specific color required
• 3-day orientation: Day 1 includes 8 hours computer education plus 4 hours shadowing, Day 2 is 12-hour orientation shift, Day 3 independent practice
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, sepsis, and post-surgical orthopedic patients
• Prefer experience with TURP-CBI procedures and Critical Access or Trauma Level 3/4 facilities
• Must clock in and out at facility
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned to travelers as relief charge

The facility features a 24-bed medical telemetry unit with observation and day surgery capabilities. The hospital maintains hospitalist coverage until 6 PM daily with telemedicine support afterward, and respiratory therapy services available 24/7. The facility emphasizes team-based nursing care and provides modern computerized charting systems to support quality patient care.
