Opportunity:

TRAVEL EXP - CERT NBSTSA OR Tech - Req 10792

Job Details:

• Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• On-call required: Weekday call of 16 hours every 4 weeks (standby shift blocks in 4-hour or 8-hour increments) and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks (12-hour standby shifts x 2)
• Weekends required: Required to work weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs
• Block schedules not required
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• No floating between units
• 48-hour shifts not approved
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; endovascular experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
• Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any color
• Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties focusing on advanced oncology surgical cases
• Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
• Adult surgical specialties not performed: Open Heart and Organ Transplant
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All requested time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during application
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Travel experience required; local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility houses 418 staffed beds and operates a 21-room Adult Acute Care Operating Room with a daily census of approximately 60 patients. The facility specializes in advanced oncology surgical cases and supports a wide range of adult surgical specialties. The organization uses Epic as its primary charting system and maintains high standards for patient care across its diverse surgical programs.
