Opportunity:

RN - 3N MS/IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• No on-call or standby requirement unless picking up an extra shift
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on days through 11:00 PM and 1:5-6 on nights after 11:00 PM
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment required
• Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients required, including management of TR band compression devices
• Experience with post-cardiac surgical patients required
• Common diagnoses include cardiac medical and surgical cases such as post cath lab (stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR), post cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements), AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, and bradycardia with temporary pacemaker
• Required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
• 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and manages strips
• Nurse aides available on unit with ratios of 1:10 on days, 1:10-12 on evenings, and 1:15 after 11:00 PM
• Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 and manages nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm; RNs are responsible for incentive spirometry
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
• Floating to other units as needed based on census
• No scrubs provided and no required scrub color
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive cardiac medical and surgical services across a 29-bed unit. The organization provides advanced cardiac care including cath lab procedures, cardiac surgery, and a 24/7 central telemetry monitoring system for non-critical care patients. The facility maintains robust support services including around-the-clock respiratory therapy and nurse aide assistance to support a high-quality patient care environment.
