RN - Cardiovascular

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Work in an acute care setting with a Level 2 trauma designation
• Patient population includes post PCI, post bypass, and CHF patients
• Required to titrate drips
• Required to interpret telemetry strips (Draeger monitors); telemetry monitor tech available for monitoring support
• Respiratory therapy assigned 24/7 to ICU/PCU with full respiratory equipment available including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
• 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist coverage (MD and NP) in house
• Charting system: Allscripts
• Experience pulling sheaths preferred
• CRRT experience highly preferred
• Open heart experience preferred
• Level 2 trauma experience or above preferred
• BSN not required
• Illinois nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cancellation policy: 3 shifts per 13-week or longer contract; 2 shifts per 12-week or shorter contract

This acute care facility operates a dedicated cardiovascular unit supported by 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist coverage, providing comprehensive care for complex cardiac patients. The unit is equipped with full respiratory therapy support around the clock and utilizes advanced telemetry monitoring technology to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The facility maintains a Level 2 trauma designation and fosters a collaborative care environment with specialized nursing and support staff.
